SRINAGAR – The Lakes and Waterways Development Authority (LAWDA) on Tuesday conducted a demolition drive in several parts of the city.
According to an official handout, the demolition drive through its Enforcement Wing was carried in the areas including Alamdar Colony, Lone Mohalla, Nowpora, Meena Bazar Dal, Jan Mohalla Brein and Nishat.
During the drive, five illegal constructions including Tin Walling, Single storey bed work, roofing and two shops were demolished.
The authorities have asked the people residing within the LDA jurisdiction and in prohibited Lake areas not to go for any illegal constructions and encroachments.
