Former IUST Student Gets Fellowship In US

SRINAGAR — Kaiser Ahmad Rather, who recently completed his Master’s degree from the Islamic University of Science and Technology’s Department of Centre for International Relations  has been selected for the Watson Incubator Program in the USA.

“Rather has received the prestigious Huff Peace Fellowship at Lynn University, Florida. The program is aimed at encouraging entrepreneurial and transformative education for sustainable development and peace building,” a varsity spokesman said in a statement.

The statement quoted Rather as terming “IUST as the ladder for his success and acknowledged the exposure to academics at the national and international level that he received while studying at the Centre for International Relations.”

“My studies at the Centre are still lighting up different opportunities for me to explore and engage with to become an entrepreneur of peace and a global youth leader,” Rather said.

Prof. Mushtaq A Siddiqi – Hon’ble Vice Chancellor and the whole fraternity of IUST congratulated the Department for this achievement and wishes him good luck in his future endeavours.
