Leopard Creates Panic In Kupwara Village, Takes Shelter In School

SRINAGAR — Panic has gripped Drugmulla area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district after a leopard took shelter in washroom of a school on Saturday morning.

Locals said that the leopard was spotted near B Ed College adjacent to My New School this morning, reported news agency GNS..

The villagers rushed towards it following which the leopard took shelter in a washroom of the school.

An official of the wildlife department said that a team of officials has reached the site and was ascertaining whether the animal is a leopard or any other wild animal.

“The animal will be tranquilized and rescued,” he said.
