Admin Directs Timely Compensation For Land Procured For Roads

 SRINAGAR — The divisional administra­tion has sought the timely release of compensation to those whose land has come under different road proj­ects in Srinagar.

This was stated dur­ing a meeting of the road projects which was undertaken by the Divi­sional Commissioner, Baseer Ahmad Khan. Baseer chaired the 247-th High-Level Committee (HLC) meeting of Syed Mirak Shah (SMS) road, Khanyar-Zadibal-Pandach (KZP) road and other developmental works of Circular road project to review the rehabilitation and disbursement of cash compensa­tion to the people whose structures and land has come under the Project.

The meeting held a discussion with evidence regarding the land, structure and shops acquisition on SMS Road, KZP Road, Critical Bottleneck Struc­tures on SafaKadal Jamallatta Road, Widening of Bottlenecks of Buchpo­raHazratbal Road (Phase-1), Commu­nity Centre Namchibal, Community Centre Babademb, Community Centre Mir Masjid Khanyar, Critical Bottle­neck Structures on Safa Kadal Jamal­latta Road, Widening of Bottlenecks of Buchpora Hazratbal Road (Phase-1), area widening at Peer Dastageer Sa­hib, area widening at Community Centre Jamia Masjid Nowhatta and Govt Boys Middle School Kailashpo­ra.

Allotment of shops for dislocated shopkeepers of Syed Mirak Shah Road in SMC Shopping Complex at Khayam and Allotment of shops for dislocated shopkeepers of Qamarwari Chowk in ERA complex at Ram Bagh.

The Divi­sional Commissioner also interacted with affected families and shopkeep­ers. After mutual understanding, cash compensation and allotment of shops were approved in various cases in fa­vour of affected beneficiaries whose land, structures and shops come un­der the different works of Circular road project.
