Contractual Teachers Seek Regularisation Of Services

Share

SRINAGAR — The teachers associated with Contractual Teachers Association of Kashmir (CTAK) on Thursday staged a protest demonstration in favour of their demand of continuation of their teaching services at educational institutions.

Scores of the teachers assembled at press enclave and sought the intervention of authorities so that all the teachers under CTAK can continue their teaching service. The protesting teachers said that they are highly qualified, mostly with Post-Graduates, B.ed, M.ed, M.Phil degrees and “many of them have crossed the upper-age limit.”

“We have been teaching in the schools with zeal and zest and our performance has laid a great impact on the academics,” said the president of contractual teachers’ association, Adil Gulzar Mughloo, adding that “contractual teachers are left with a little time in service now and hope that the state administration will address the issue and continue them for some more time so that their future which is at stake is secured.”
