SRINAGAR Sheikh Imran, an independent corporator backed by Congress was on Tuesday elected Deputy Mayor Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC). Earlier, PC candidate, Junaid Azim Matoo was declared Mayor SMC.
Officials said that Sheikh Imran bagged 35 votes, while as the opposite candidate has bagged 34.
They said that one vote was rejected during the elections for Dy Mayor. (KNS)
