Geelani Concerned By Killings, Search Ops

Share

SRINAGAR — Condemning the killing spree and extensive CASO’s in almost all the villages and towns of South Kashmir, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman, Syed Ali Geelani Tuesday expressed deep concern about the military concentration around Pulwama, Shopian and Kulgam districts.

Paying rich tributes to Fayaz Ahmad Wani of Chewah Kalan Pulwama a young civilian who was killed in a direct fire by the government forces, the Hurriyat leader alleged a war has been thrusted upon the civilian population.

Hurriyat chairman alleged that during the cordon and search operations in dozens of villages of South Kashmir, people were forced to stay for the whole night on the roads, streets and fields. Living under the shadow of a war like situation has created panic and an agonized atmosphere in almost all the villages of South Kashmir, said Geelani.
