SRINAGAR Chairman Hurriyat (G) Conference, Syed Ali Geelani while paying rich tributes to the militants killed in Gurez and Rafiabad encounter.
The spokesman in a statement expressed his deep regret that it is the arrogance of a government that serves as a deterrent and main obstacle in the peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue. Quoting the divine law of humanity, the Hurriyat Chairman said that to kill an innocent human being is tantamount to kill the whole humanity.
Terming the sacred sacrifices given by the youth as highly valuable, the pro-freedom leader said that the nation is indebted to such sacrifices and we take a pledge to carry our legitimate movement for the right to self-determination to its logical conclusion.
Syed Ali Geelani urged the UN Secretary General to help resolve Kashmir dispute in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile Chairman All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Syed Ali Geelani in a fervent appeal to the United Nations Human Rights Commission to take cognizance of the plight of detainees ledged in Udhampur District jail. Hurriyat chairman condemned the harsh attitude of the jail authorities meted out to the inmates and inflicting 3rd-degree methods of torture on the detainees.
