Eidgah Martyrs Cemetery Caretaker No More

Mirwaiz, Malik term Khan’s death a great loss

SRINAGAR — Hurriyat (M) chairman and AAC patron, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has expressed grief over the demise of the care taker of Martyr’s graveyard Eidgah Haji Habibullah Khan, terming his death as a great loss.

Mirwaiz visited Eidgah and led the funeral prayers of Khan in which many people participated.

Mirwaiz while highlighting the contributions of deceased said that he was committed soldier who remained steadfast towards his duty till his last breath.

Pertinently, Khan was laid to rest at the cemetery which houses graves of almost two thousand martyrs, including Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq and Abdul Gani Lone besides others.

Mirwaiz said that his contributions and selfless service Khan will always be remembered.

Meanwhile JKLF chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik also expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of Khan.

While paying tributes to Khan, Malik in a statement issued said that his contribution and sacrifices will be always remembered.

A delegation comprising of vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakshi, zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal and zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri visited the bereaved family, participated in his funeral prayers and expressed solidarity with his bereaved family.
