Justice Magrey inaugurates Industrial Tribunal, Consumer Protection Forum At Moominabad

SRINAGAR — Justice Ali Moham­mad Magrey today inaugurated the relocated Jammu & Kash­mir Industrial Tribunal/Labour Court and District Consumer Protection Forum at District Court Complex Moominabad in presence of Justice M K Hanjura.

Principal District & Sessions Judge Srinagar, Mohammad Akram Chowdhary, Director State Judicial Academy, Abdul Rashid Malik, Divisional Com­missioner Kashmir Baseer Ah­mad Khan, Secretary Law, Ab­dul Majid Bhat, Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corpora­tion, RTO Kashmir, Director Flo­riculture, other senior officers of the district administration, judi­cial officers and lawyers were present on the occasion.

Jammu & Kashmir Labour Court/Industrial Tribunal were earlier functioning from Old Court Complex at Lal Chowk Srinagar, whereas District Con­sumer Protection Forum consti­tuted under the Consumer Pro­tection Act was operating from Old Civil Secretariat Srinagar.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Magrey, who is also the Administrative Judge for Dis­trict Srinagar, laid stress on speedy disposal of pending cases to ensure fair and speedy justice to the litigant public.

He emphasized that imme­diate steps are required to be taken to address the issue of san­itation, cleanliness and mainte­nance of the Court Complex at Moominabad.

The Floriculture department was asked to develop the land­scape within the Court Complex. The Regional Transport Officer Srinagar was asked to ply suffi­cient vehicles on the route, cov­ering District Court Complex to Jehangir Chowk.

Justice Magrey also inter­acted with the executive Mem­bers of the Bar and listened to their grievances. He assured the members of the Bar that their genuine grievances will be re­dressed at the earliest.
