Gurupurab A Significant Day For Kashmir: APSCC

SRINAGAR — On the eve of Gurupurab All Parties Sikh Coordination Committee (APSCC) Chairman Jagmohan Singh Riana said that this day is very significant day for Kashmir as Sri Guru Hargobind Ji come to Kashmir to spread the message of peace and brotherhood in Valley, in his memory many historical Gurudwars are made which included Gurudwara Chattipadshahi Rainwari, Baramulla, Pulwama, and Uri.

In a statement issued to KNS, Raina said “Guru ji was born in June 1595 and he visited Kashmir in 1616 AD and in his memory Gurudwara Chattipadshi was build in 1819 which stand and land mark of peace and brotherhood. Guru Hargobind Saahib Ji revered as the Sixth Guru and popularly known as Chatti Padshahi.”

“Guru Ji constructed Akal Takth (God’s Throne) as the seat of temporal power in the premises of Golden Temple at Amritsar. This place continues to the present day as the centre of every sociopolitical activities and power of the Sikh Community. Sikh leaders including principle Naranjan Singh, Ajeet Singh Mastana, Sant Singh,Davinder Singh,Gurdiyal Singh, Trilok Singh Babu, extended congratulation to the Sikh Community on the Birthday of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji.” (KNS)
