SRINAGAR Hundreds of Anganwadi workers and Helpers Thursday staged protest in city centre Srinagar demanding regularization and honorarium.
The protestors alleged that the Govt does not have belief in its own workers and thus privatization.
The protestors were shouting the slogans we want justice.
The protesting Anganwadi workers alleged that successive government have been forcing them to come on roads on daily basis as they have miserably failed to fulfill their demands.
We are almost 61000 employees who demand justice, Anganwadi workers who assembled at Ghanta Ghar Srinagar said.
They said that the Anganwadi workers are paid Rs 7000 to 10000, but here in our state we are paid Rs 600 rupees for last 20 years.
Apart from serving in hospital and health centres, we also perform election duties, examination duties and much more, but are never paid for the extra work. (CNS)
