Kashmir Film Fest Ends With ‘Sargoshiyan’

SRINAGAR — The 3rd Edition of Kashmir World Film Festival (KWFF) concluded on Tuesday with the screening of Bollywood film Sargoshiyan at Tagore Hall.

The festival was presented by Zee TV and Zee Cinema networks and J&K Tourism is the title sponsor.

The other films that were screened in the festival include Who Dies by Shahnawaz Baqal, Dalaal by Parveen Sharma and Saving The Saviour by Jalal Ud Din Baba.

Zafar Iqbal Manhas, MLC and Vice President J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, was the chief guest on the occasion while the guest of honours were K B Aggarwal, Financial Commissioner Housing & Planning J&K Government, Syed Humayun Qaisar, Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar and Sajjad Bazaz Head Communication & Writer / filmmaker Amitav Kaul were felicitated on the occasion while the film director Imran Khan and Neeraj Bhatt were honored in the festival.

The films that won awards in the festival include Life – a dream, Alisa, Searching for Mr Yong, Untreated Waste, Bodyguard, Sabbah – The Hope and Turup.

Festival Director Mushtaaque Ali Ahmad Khan said: “The festival has been a success. I am thankful to all those who made it a success. We will continue doing the festival in future as well,” Khan said.

The seven day festival that started on 19th June was hosted by RJ Aroon and RJ Devangnaa from FM Tadka.
