Vohra Assigns Departments To Advisors

SRINAGAR — The Governor N N Vohra on Saturday allocated the Departments to Advisors B B Vyas and K Vijay Kumar.

As per a notification issued by the Government here this evening, the Planning & Development,  Finance,  Law,  GAD, Housing & Urban Development, ARI & Trainings, Rural Development, Ladakh Affairs, Estates, Civil Aviation,  PWD, PDD, PHE & IFC, Agriculture, Horticulture, Floriculture, Industries & Commerce, Animal & Sheep Husbandry and Cooperatives Departments have been allocated to Advisor B B Vyas.

The Departments of Home, Youth, Services & Sports, Revenue, Disaster Management, Relief Rehabilitation & Reconstruction, Tribal Affairs, Forests, Hospitality & Protocol, Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Information, Labour & Employment, School Education, Higher Education, Technical Education, Health & Medical Education, Science & Technology, Tourism, Culture, Information Technology and Social Welfare have been allocated to the Advisor K Vijay Kumar.

 “In pursuance of Section-2 of the Jammu and Kashmir Delegation of Powers Act, 2018 (Governor’s Act No. 1 of 2018), the Governor is pleased to direct that the powers exercisable by a Minister shall be exercised by the Advisors to the Governor in respect of the Departments allocated to them,” the order said.

It said the powers already delegated to the Administrative Secretaries as notified vide Notification SRO-281 dated: 23-06-2018 shall continue to be exercised by them. “However, the Advisors shall identify the items of work and matters, other than those delegated vide SRO-281, which shall be put to them for decision, approval or information and notify the same through issue of Standing Order(s), copies of which shall be sent to the Governor,” it said.

Powers Delegated To CS, Admin Secretaries

The Governor N N Vohra today delegated powers to the Chief Secretary and the Administrative Secretaries.

“In pursuance of Section 2 of the Jammu and Kashmir Delegation of Powers Act, 2018 (Governor’s Act No. 1 of 2018), the Governor is pleased to direct that the officers shown in Schedule-I to this notification shall exercise the powers of the Minister in respect of the matters indicated there-under,” said a notification (attached herewith) issued by the Government here this evening.

It said the Administrative Secretaries mentioned in Schedule-II to the notification shall also exercise the powers of the Minister in respect of the matters indicated thereunder.

 “Any case not specifically mentioned in Schedule-I & Schedule-II to the Notification SRO-281 shall be submitted to the Governor through the Chief Secretary,” it said.
