Share

SRINAGAR — On the directions of Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Dr Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, surprise inspections were conducted at several government offices in the district.

During the inspections, 10 officials at Chief Medical Officer Srinagar, nine at Gousia Hospital Khanyar and five at Chief Education Officer Srinagar were found unauthorisedly absent and were placed under immediate suspension.

The DC ordered to deduct a full day’s salary of all these employees. It was said the deducted amount will be credited in the account of District Red Cross Committee Srinagar.

The absentees have been asked to immediately explain their position, failing which appropriate action as per law will be initiated against them.

The DC directed all the officials and employees working in the district to ensure punctuality in the offices.
