SRINAGAR Polaris India launched entrepreneurship development programme for the first time in the valley.
Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director – Polaris India inaugurated the off-road adventure track (Polaris Experience Zone) in Srinagar at M/S Kashmir Motors Corporate Office Sonwar in presence of Vice President, Ufair Ajaz. Polaris is the world leader in power sports and off-road innovation and is all set to change adventure and fun across the country through Polaris Experience Zones.
Speaking on the inauguration, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd., said, Off-roading experience is gaining traction in India and Polaris Experience Zones have contributed significantly to that culture. We are witnessing a positive trend towards adventure sports in India and with an aim to cultivate it further we have gone across India with our PEZs to bring enthusiasts closer to our vehicles which allow them to satiate their adventure drive.

Sharing his thoughts on the occasion, Ufair Ajaz, Vice President, Kashmir Motors, said the Polaris Experience Zone concept is a perfect blend of pleasure and business, an innovative concept of self employment and adventure sports. Kashmir Motors has entered into a tie up with JK Bank and JK State Cooperative Bank regarding financing of PEZ project. A scheme specifically launched for young and budding entrepreneurs of Kashmir valley requires a down payment of 10% only and the whole project can be set up, thereby bringing down the unemployment rate to some extent.
The tracks designed and developed by Polaris experts are suitable for all age groups who can experience the thrill and off roading adventure. Ideally approximately 5000Sq.Ft. of land is required to start a PEZ, but there is no fixed criteria for the space. Existing parks and related businesses may also apply. The land can be anywhere within the city or in the outskirts
