Srinagar—The Department of Community Medicine, Government Medical College, Srinagar on Thursday conducted a tenth three-day workshop on research methodology on biomedical research.
The spokesman said workshop included various research topics on anatomy and physiology of research, research question, design, sampling, sample size estimation, ethical issues, research protocol, and reference manager. The workshop was attended by faculty from Government Medical College, Srinagar, Government Dental College, Srinagar, SKIMS and SKIMS Medical College, Srinagar and was accredited with J&K State medical Council with 12 CME credit hours.
The visiting resource persons included Dr Sonu Goel from School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh and Professor Shariq Masoodi from SKIMS, in addition to faculty from community medicine department. Professor Samia Rashid, principal and dean, Government Medical College, Srinagar who was chief guest while appreciating the efforts by its community medicine department encouraged research interest among faculty and residents and to ensure the newer post-graduate scholar are sensitised with research methodology before formally taking post-graduate research programme
