SrinagarShowkat Ahmad slammed an unbeaten knock of 105 to power his side Kashmir Knights defeat Bhaijaan-XI Chadoora in a high scoring encounter of Budgam T20 Super League at Budgam Stadium on Saturday.
Batting first, Bhaijaan-XI Chadoora posted a mammoth score of 203 for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs. At the half time break, Chadoora would have felt they had enough runs on the board, but it wasnt to be. Showkat Ahmad was the star of the successful chase thanks to a blistering knock of 105. He powered his side to scale down the target for the loss of three wickets. Showkat was duly awarded man of the match for his unbeaten ton.
The second game of the day also saw batsman scoring a ton. This time it was Zahid Rasool who muscled his way to 65-ball 107 to guide his team Master-XI Ompora to a comfortable win against Sultan Cricket Club Chadoora.
Riding on the blazing ton from Zahid Master XI Ompora amassed a totl of 226 for the loss of eight wickets in the allotted 20 overs. There were no fireworks from Sultan Cricket Club Chadoora as they were all-out for138 inside sixteen overs suffering an 88-run victory. Zahid for his brilliant knock was awarded man of the match.
