Srinagar—In view of the protest call issued by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) after Friday prayers, the district administration Srinagar on Thursday has decided to impose restrictions in Srinagar areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven Police Stations on Friday.

The restrictions will be imposed in Srinagar areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven Police Station including Ràinawari, Nowhatta, Khanyar, M.R.Gunj, Safakadal, Maisuma and Kralkhud, a police source said.

He informed that the areas falling under two Police Stations among the total seven including Maisuma and Kral Khud will remain under partial restrictions on Friday.

‘The restrictions will be imposed as a precautionary measure,” they said.

Joint Resistance Leadership comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik called for Kashmir-wide protests after congregational Friday prayers tomorrow against the killing of civilians, indiscriminate use of pellets, vandalising properties, two women who left behind two infants and blinding innocent youth.

The leadership, in a press communiqué, has appealed the international community to take cognizance of “appalling” situation and “state sponsored terrorism” in Kashmir and come to the rescue of “subjugated” people.

The growing Indian “aggression” against “unarmed and peaceful” people in state has touched the alarming line and turned this beautiful place into a battle field, the statement said.

Under well thought out plane the Indian authorities, forces and their henchmen are carrying a genocide, said JRL.

The JRL ridiculed authorities for turning entire whole state into a “battle field” saying killing innocents, coining mistaken identity like terms, caging people and leadership, simply exposed their tall claims about transparency and their rhetoric regarding democracy were deflated.”

Joint leadership appealed Amnesty International, Asia Watch, and other international organisation for human rights to break silence and take cognizance of the plight of suppressed and oppressed people in state of Jammu and Kashmir and urged to fulfil their obligations in accordance with human rights specified for world community.

JRL asked people in Jammu including Chinab valley, Bhaderwah, Kashtwar to join and protest against the highhandedness of authorities and atrocities perpetrated on people in state and asked Aiema Masajids and religious clerics to aware people about the prevailing situations and lead protest demonstrations throughout state, saying we all are obliged to raise our voice and express our solidarity with those suffering at the hands of authorities and forces.
