JRL Calls for Shutdown on Monday

Srinagar—Joint Resistance Leadership comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umer Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik, Saturday reiterated call for a shutdown on October 9, Monday against braid chopping incidents in the valley.

JRL termed the so called mysterious incidents a well thought out conspiracy and added that it is a big challenge for us as dignity of our womenfolk is at stake. They appealed people to observe complete shutdown against humiliation meted to women.

“Let us convey a message to these miscreants that in no way we will give up our resistance and will pursue the right to self-determination movement” , said JRL.

Appealing people, the leaders maintained that unity and steadfastness is need of the hour and while making every such mischievous ploy a failure, we will pursue mission till its logical end, said JRL.
