SrinagarEven as the annual board examinations are approaching, the authorities in the education department on Friday said that the unfair examination centres will be closed.
They also said that the results for the annual board examinations will be declared in a span of one month.
Secretary Education Farooq Ahmad Shah said that they have decided to close all those examination centres where unfair means have repeatedly taken place. The examination centres will be shifted to nearby centres, he said.
He also said that the teachers who were on examination duty in the past year will not be deputed for examination duty this time. There will be a new face in it, he said, adding that evaluators will also be new faces.
The secretary education also informed that the result for the annual board examinations will be declared after one month after the tests will be over.
Meanwhile, the education of thousands of students enrolled in government schools has got affected due to the training programme for teachers ahead of the annual board examinations of the wards.
According to a KNS report, the teachers are happy with the training programme ordered by the government but at the same time are worried about the future of students who have to appear in the annual board examinations, likely in this month.
Earlier, the government had said that the annual board examination for the students of class 10th and 12th will start from October 15.
The training programme as per the teachers has put the career of students at stake, saying that a few days are left for the examination but the government is sending to the training programme which will certainly affect the studies of students.
The secretary education while responding over the training programme said that all those teachers who will be deputed for examination duty will not be sent for the training programme.
