Mehbooba greets people on Eid

Srinagar—Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has felicitated people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

In her message on the occasion, the Chief Minister prayed the blessed festival further inculcates the values of selfless service, piety and care about others among us. She said the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) which embodies these values needs to be followed more in present times which are engulfed by acrimony, ill will and confrontation all across the globe.

Mehbooba Mufti said the occasions like Eid should invite us to think about happiness and welfare of those who cannot afford or who became victims of fate due to one reason or the other. “On this day, let’s give handholding to orphans, widows, destitute and any other who needs it. There lies the real spirit of celebrating Eid-ul-Azha”, she said in her message.

Terming the Hajj pilgrimage, which coincides with this festival, as the best example of human camaraderie, Mehbooba Mufti said the annual pilgrimage gives us a message that no barriers of caste, creed, colour or region exist before God except piety and good deeds.

The Chief Minister hoped the day brings an everlasting joy, peace and happiness to the people of the State.

Governor greets people on Eid

 Governor N. N. Vohra has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and prayed for their well-being and prosperity.

In his message of felicitations, the Governor has hoped that this festival would further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, brotherhood, amity, and revive the glorious pluralistic ethos for which Jammu and Kashmir has been known for centuries past.

The Governor prayed for peace, progress and prosperity in the State.

Ali greets people on Eid

Minister for Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs and Information, Chowdhary Zulfkar Ali today extended greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

In his message, Zulfkar Ali said the holy festival inculcates values of honesty, sacrifice and teaches us to make truthfulness a way of our life.

The Minister while praying for peace, well-being and prosperity in the State, said that on the occasion we should help the needy and show kindness and generosity to all.

He expressed the hope that the auspicious day will further strengthen the bonds of communal harmony, mutual brotherhood, amity, and tranquility in the State.

Muneer greets media fraternity 

 Director Information & Public Relations, Muneer-ul-Islam has extended felicitations to the people in general and the media fraternity in particular on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

“I on behalf of my colleagues and the staff of the Department of Information and Public Relations extend warm Eid felicitations to the esteemed members of the media fraternity in J&K,” the Director Information said in his message.

 “At the same time, I pray that the blessings and joys of this auspicious occasion will be with all of us always,” he said.
