SrinagarMinister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga,Thursday visited JK Cement Factory Khrew, JK Entrepreneurship Development Industrial (JKEDI) and Government Joinery Mills Pampore to take stock of their functioning.
The Minister during his visit to the Khrew factory took stock of the facilities available at the unit and went round various sections of the factory including Gauging laboratory, Analytical lab and kilns.
It was given out that cement production capacity of Khrew plant this year would cross over 900 MTs.
Ganga also visited village Wuyen and took stock of the land of the Corporation. He directed the management for utilizing of the said assets and formulating a comprehensive proposal for establishment of income generating units.
During his visit to JKEDI, the Minster inspected the renovation works of the complex that was damaged last year.
Later, Ganga went round various units of Government Joinery Mills Pampore and interacted with the employees. He also visited showroom-cum-sale outlet of Government Joinery Mills, Silk Factory and Woolen Mills.
