India’s cattle ban: JD(U) to slaughter cow on Friday

Srinagar: In response to ban on sale and slaughter of cattle across India, Janata Dal United Tuesday declared that it will slaughter a cow in Kashmir Capital Srinagar to defy the ban imposed by Indian Environmental Ministry.

“We will go Kerala way. We have decided to slaughter a cow on Friday In Srinagar. Government of India has not right to dictate its terms upon people. We don’t need to ask government what to eat and what to avoid,” State President JD (U) GM Shaheen told CNS.

He said the party has also decided to organize a beef party on coming Friday. “India has losing its secular character. The fanatics have been ruling the roost and strange laws are being implemented to harass common people,” Shaheen said and urged people to participate in his beef party on coming Friday. (CNS)
