Sufi conclave at Baba Shakurudin shrine

Srinagar: A Sufi conference on ‘Aiteqaad’ was Wednesday organized at the hilltop shrine of Hazrat Baba Shakurudin in Sopore in which a large number of Sufi writers, poets and Darood Khawans besides prominent personalities participated.

Addressing the function, Khawaja Farooq Renzushah said that “our great Buzurgan-e-Deen have always prayed and blessed Kashmir for protection, its divine beauty, it’s environment and human material so that they become symbol of love, knowledge and intellect.”

On this occasion, Fahmeeda Sopori who is chairperson of Bazam-e-Roohani Sopore, Atta-ullah prominent scholar of Sopore, Javid Ahmad Tota, Gh. Qadir Malik of Shahr-e- Khaas, Manzoor Damdar Chairman Syed Abrar Institute, Javid Maqbool Shah, Umar Masoodi, Mudasir Ahmad and the Darood Khawan, Nawat Khawan, Sufi singer Mir Farooq were present.
