Srinagar: Waseem Raza shone both with the bat and ball as Budgam XI beat Khonmoh XI in the first semifinal of Budgam Premier League played at Sheikhpora Playground Budgam on Saturday.
Winning the toss, Khonmoh XI managed a total of 153 for the loss of nine wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Raza was the most successful bowler for MLA Budgam XI taking three wickets.
In reply, MLA Budgam XI didn’t have yo sweat much, scaling down the target in the 18th over with loss of just four wickets.
Farooz Ahmad was the highest run getter for the winning side, making a solid 55.
Raza also contributed with the bat to the winning cause, compiling a well made 35.
Raza was declared man of the match for his all-round brilliance.
