Teetwal, Keran being developed under Border Tourism

SRINAGAR: MLA Karnah Raja Manzoor Ahmad Khan and Deputy Commissioner Kupwara G.M. Dar today conducted extensive tour to Karnah and Teetwal to review the status of ongoing developmental works in these areas.

DC stressed the concerned officers and executing agencies for timely completion of ongoing developmental projects for the benefit of the public.

Several deputations met MLA & DC and appraised them about the day to day issues confronting the inhabitants of the area.

 The visiting dignitaries gave patient hearing to the people and assured them their genuine demands will be addressed on priority basis. 

The visiting dignitaries also paid a visit to the Teetwal Crossing Point to inquire about the facilities available for the passengers. They were informed that Rs 30 lacs have been utilized for the construction of facility centre at Teetwal Crossing Point. 

Speaking on this occasion, DC informed that the administration has formulated a comprehensive plan of Rs 1.83 crores for Border Tourism, railway track and other modern facilities for the development of the area. He also informed that Rs 8 crores have been utilized under MGNREGA in the sub division during last fiscal. He announced one ambulance and Rs 5 lakhs for Govt Degree College Kandi.
