Army Takes Moulvis On Bharat Darshan

Baramulla: Twenty Moulvis from Pattan belt have set out on a 10 day tour, ‘Watan Firdaus’ organised by the Army.  Army said the tour is aimed at  introducing  these Moulvis to the world outside the Valley and understand the country’s  diverse culture, secularism, pluralism and developmental strides. The tour to Delhi, Jaipur and Ajmer was flagged off from Widdipura in the presence of prominent persons from civil and Army.

Complimenting the Moulvies on embracing such an opportunity, Brig SH Naqvi, Commander of Haiderbeg based Army Camp encouraged them to optimise on their experiences. The participants said that they looked forward to visiting places of religious and historical significance and exchanging ideas with a cross section of people at these places. After having a night halt at Jammu, the tour ‘Firdaus Watan’ will proceed to Jaipur and further to Ajmer.  The important places to be visited at Jaipur are Amber fort, Hawa Mahal & Pink City Palace.  The highlights of Ajmer visit will be Anna Sagar Lake & Dargah of Moinuddin Chishti.  This will be followed by a visit to various prominent historical places in Delhi.
