SRINAGAR: Nisar Dar of Physical Education and Sports Department Tuesday won Kashmir University Inter-Department Annual Road race. According to a statement from Directorate of Physical Education and Sports, University of Kashmir, the organisers of the event, the race started from Nishat Garden with Rumi Gate, Kashmir University being the finishing line that was first reached by Dar.
The race was flagged off by Prof. Nisar Ahmad Rather, Director Physical Education and Sports. As many 70 students from various department, the statement said, took part in the race.
Dar was followed by Riyaz ul Rashid of Mathematics Department with Department of Laws Illyas Ahmad bagging the third spot.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted at Directorate, Physical Education and Sports with Nadeem Ahmad, Assistant Director Physical Education and Sports compeering the event.
The three position holders will be representing Kashmir University in upcoming Inter-College road race.
