BSNL Sends Vulgar Texts To Users

Share

Srinagar: Bharat Sanchar Nigham Ltd (BSNL) is sending ‘unethical’ and ‘immoral’ messages to subscribers and many in Kashmir see it as an attempt by the State owned company to spread waywardness among youth here.

“Aaj Raat Mai Free Hoo, Chat Karogay…”,  “Let’s talk sex….” like unsolicited text messages, apparantly from various chat companies are being sent to, subscribers by the BSNL which is controlled by the central government’s telecommunication ministry.

A group of aggrieved subscribers said that they had agitated over this through newspapers few months back and BSNL had stopped sending such objectionable messages to subscribers, but now BSNL has revived the objectionable practice and was sending such messages on mobile phones to subscribers.

Angered by the objectionable practices of BSNL, the subscribers threatened to surrender SIM cards and choose for some other mobile services to get rid off the unethical practices of BSNL.

Repeated attempts to reach BSNL authorities failed. –With inputs from KNS
