ITI Superintendent not transferred from 6 years

Share

Baramulla: Authorities have miserably failed to take notice of dozens of complaints filed against the Superintendent Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Pattan, who has been serving at the same place from 6 years without any transfer.

The complainants who accuse the Superintendent of fraud and corruption told news agency CNS that they had first filed a complaint against the said Superintendent in 2015 before IGP  Crime Branch Srinagar     regarding misuse of funds, power and position by The superintendent ITI Pattan and  the said complaint was forwarded by  Crime Branch to  Director technical Education Srinagar on 20-8-2015 under letter number  CHQ/ CIL/K-751/15-18925 for detailed report and investigation of the matter.

The complainants said that despite four to five reminders on 20-8-2015, 03-10-2015 and 27-4-2016 to the Director Technical Education, there was no headway in the case. “Instead we were informed by the Directorate Technical Education that the communiqué they received from Crime Branch has been misplaced.

“Accordingly, we once again filed the complaint before Vigilance Organization of Kashmir on 08-08-2015 while VOK also sought a detailed response from the Directorate Technical Education and despite that  Director technical Education Kashmir neither filed a report not bothered to probe  the accusations,” they said.

“Even Under Secretary to government also sought detailed report from the Director Technical Education Kashmir with regard to same complaints against the ITI Superintendent Pattan on 08-09-2015 Vide his letter number Edu/tech/ITI/85/2015  and yet again the Directorate failed to file a report,” they said.

According to complainants the Superintendent ITI Pattan, is using his political approach due to which he has not been transferred since 2011. The complainants have alleged that the said Superintendent have misused his official position and has grabbed funds meant for the Industrial Training Centre Pattan.

When contacted, Director Technical Education ironically said that she doesn’t have any information regarding the matter. She however, said that she will look into the matter.
