Resistance Camp Exempts Lawyers From Protest Program

Srinagar: Joint Resistance Leadership leaders Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik in slight amendment of the protest program said that lawyers are exempted from the strike on Friday & Saturday (30 – 31 December 2016).

“There are thousands of habeas corpus cases pending for hearing. Leadership said that in view of winter vacation of the courts, lawyers are requested to help out the cases of these detainees,” spokesman said.

“It is worth to mention here that despite court orders most of these political prisoners are not released and cunning administration is making a joke of its own judiciary,” he added.
