Srinagar: Stating that changes in the freedom movement have occurred in the past and will also take place in the future, Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said only time will tell if the new phase of armed struggle erupts in Kashmir.
Geelani, who is heading a joint resistance movement which includes top Hurriyat leaders Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Yasin Malik, said there is no difference between NC and PDP as for him both the parties are collaborators of India.
In an interview to The Kashmir Magazine, Geelani in reply to a question said, I met the Sinha delegation and whatever we discussed has already come in the media.
He, however, refused to answer, if Track-II diplomacy is acceptable to resistance leadership. To a question that New Delhi has been reiterating that current situation in Kashmir will die sown soon, Geelani said movements are not judged on the outcome of one phase.
Freedom of nations is a long path to traverse. Different phases have different intensities. But the flame of freedom is live and will remain so, he said.
Geelani reiterated that it is the job of authorities to identify those who indulged in burning of vehicles and schools.
We have always condemned such actions and will continue doing so in the future as well, he said.
He added that let government of India first declare Kashmir as a dispute and then they (Hurriyat) will respond accordingly. (KNS)
