Cabinet Okays New Police Chief, Promotion of 17 IAS Officers

JAMMU: The State Cabinet which met here Wednesday under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti approved the draft of the address, to be delivered by Governor, N N Vohra, to the joint sitting of the State legislature.

Mehbooba also approved appointment of  S P Vaid, (IPS) Special DG (Coordination & Law and Order) as Director General of Police, J&K upon the completion of extended term of service of Mr K Rajendra Kumar (IPS) on 31-12-2016.

The Cabinet also approved promotion of 17 IAS Officers to the various Administrative Grades of IAS.

Mr. Shaleen Kabra, Mr. Bipul Pathak & Mr. Ashok Kumar Parmar have been promoted to the Higher Administrative Grade of IAS (Rs 67000-79000 with annual increment of 3%) w.e.f from 01-01-2017. Consequent upon their promotion, Mr. Shaleen Kabra and Mr. Bipul Pathak are designated as Principal Secretaries to the Government in their respective departments.   

Mr. Sanjeev Verma, Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, Mr Anal Kumar Gupta, Mr Raj Kumar Bhagat, Ms. Nirmal Sharma and Mr. Khurshid Ahmad Shah have been promoted to the Super Time Scale of IAS (Rs 37400-67000 + GP of Rs 10,000) w.e.f from 01-01-2017. They are designated as Commissioner/Secretaries to the Government in their respective departments.

Ms Mandeep Kour, Mr Pandurang K Pole, Mrs Salma Hamid, Mrs Tasneem Maajid and Mr Farooq Ahmad Shah have been promoted to the Selection Grade of IAS (Rs 37400-67000 + GP of Rs 8700) w.e.f from 01-01-2017.

Ms Avny Lavasa, Mr Anushal Garg and Mr Vikas Kundal have been promoted to the Senior Time Scale of IAS (15600-39100+GP of Rs 6600) w.e.f from 01-01-2017.
