‘Colleges To Go Cashless Soon’

JAMMU: Commissioner Secretary Higher Education Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon today said all the college campuses of the state will go cashless soon besides the students would be facilitated with Digital learning programmes shortly.

“It will provide a single unified credential for all transactions and privileges across the campus besides ensuring seamless and cashless business with greater efficiency and accuracy,” Samoon asserted adding that “We have almost finalized the tie-up with cellular operators for providing seamless Wifi services in these campuses across J&K.”

To achieve the cashless campuses project, Dr Samoon asked the officers to form a committee of computer professors who will be given orientation courses by experts of NIELT to further carry out programmes of computer literacy in the colleges.

In this regard, one day programme of computer literacy sensitization will be conducted for College Principals of Jammu region here.

Later, a similar programme will be conducted for Principals of Kashmir division.
