Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Thursday said that the party chief, Muhammad Yasin Malik will lead a protest in Lal Chowk tomorrow against issuing certificate of domicile to refugees from west Pakistan and other court orders that are actually a part of conspiracy to change the demography of Jammu Kashmir.
The spokesman said that such decisions are conspiracy to turn majority into a minority and strengthen the illegal occupation of India on Jammu Kashmir.
He said that as the rulers and their civil and police authorities have choked space on peaceful political activities, therefore to evade arrest JKLF chairman has gone into hiding and will lead tomorrows protest program.
Meanwhile, the spokesman condemned the oppression unleashed against Kashmiri inmates languishing in different jails.
According to the statement issued to KNS, while condemning the prolonging incarceration of JKLF vice chairman Showkat Ahmad Bakshi, who has been shifted from Bemina police station to Kothibagh and is not being released despite court orders, Malik said that police is using every illegal tactic to prolong the incarceration of Kashmiri prisoners which is highly condemnable.
JKLF chairman condemned the incarceration of JKLF district president Baramullah Abdul Rashid Magloo who is languishing in Kreeki police station and despite court order is not being released by police.
Malik condemned the prolonged incarceration of JKLF leaders and activists including Zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal (Kotbalwal jail), Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri, District president Ganderbal Bashir Ahmad Rather (Boya), JKLF activists Fayaz Ahmad Mir of Ganderbal, Shabir Ahmad Ganaie of Kakapora Pulwama, Mushtaq Ahmad Mir of Kupwara, Assadullah Sheikh of Kulgam, Molvi Reyaz of Sopore, Muhammad Ishaaq Malik Kokernagh, sahib khan Trehgam , Ghulam Mohi Ud Din Kunanposhpora and others.
JKLF chairman appealed ICRC and other human rights organizations to save these inmates from the wrath of Indian authorities.
He also expressed his heart felt grief and sorrow over the sad demise of youthful Shafiq Ahmad Ganie who was brother of JKLF activist Mudasir Ahmad Ganie of Soitaing Lasjan.
JKLF district president Srinagar Showkat Ahmad Dar visited the bereaved family and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family. (KNS)
