Share

Srinagar: Former Member Parliament Tariq Hamid Karra who recently resigned from People’s Democratic Party is all set to join Congress party. Karra’s deliberations with Congress High Command will definitely place him in the lap of Congress party.

Authentic sources told news agency CNS that Congress party will nominate Karra as its president in Jammu and Kashmir while the current state president Ghulam Ahmed Mir will contest Parliament election from Anantnag Parliamentary Constituency.

Peoples Democratic Party founder-member Tariq Hameed Karra had resigned from the party in protest against “civilian killings” in the Kashmir Valley in September this year.

A Congress leader on condition of anonymity said that Tariq Hamid Karra will soon join the Congress party and he is likely to be the new face of the party in Jammu and Kashmir.(CNS)
