Hurriyat, JKLF Call For Shutdown

Srinagar: Asking people to attend the funeral procession of Slain Hizb-ul-Mujahideen commander Burhan Muzaffar Wani, chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani called for complete shutdown on Saturday.

“Those who cannot participate in the funeral prayers in south Kashmir can offer prayers in absentia at their respective places” Geelani issued a press statement. 

While paying tributes to Burhan and other two militants killed by security forces in south Kashmir on Friday, the veteran resistance leader asked people to observe complete shutdown on Saturday against the killing of trio.

Similar calls were issued by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq of Hurriyat (M) and Muhammad Yasin Malik of JKLF.

Dukhtaran-e-Millat chairperson, Aasiyeh Andrabi called for a three day strike to mourn the loss of Burhan Wani.
