SRINAGAR: Two persons died while nine others were injured in different road accidents across the valley. In Anantnag, a Tavera vehicle bearing registration number JK03C-9963 driven by Tariq Ahmad Bhat resident of Khiram and a Honda City vehicle bearing registration number PB10W-0125 driven by Rakesh Sharma collided at Sather Sangam, in the jurisdiction of Police Station Bijbehara, resulting in injuries to five persons including both the drivers. All the injured were shifted to hospital for treatment.
Among them one lady namely Pushpa wife of Rakesh Sharma succumbed to her injuries at SKIMS Soura, Srinagar. After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites. Anantnag police has registered a case in this regard.
In Srinagar, a Scorpio vehicle bearing registration number JK09A-4616 and a Tata mobile vehicle bearing registration number JK05A-8461 met with an accident at Karimabad, Lawaypora in the jurisdiction of Police Station Parimpora, resulting in injuries to three persons. All the injured were shifted to JVC Hospital, Srinagar for treatment where one of the injured identified as Shanti Devi wife of Pradeep Kumar resident of Punjab succumbed to her injuries. After completion of legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to her relatives for last rites. Srinagar police has registered a case in this regard.
In Bandipora, two Motorcycles bearing registration numbers JK05B-6257 driven by Bilal Ahmad Parray son of Ghulam Mohi-ud-din Parray resident of Check Ganstan and JK15-1039 driven by Ajaz Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Rashid resident of Inderkote Sumbal collided at TMG road in the jurisdiction of Police Station Sumbal, resulting in injuries to both the motorcyclists.
Both the injured were shifted to JVC hospital, Srinagar for treatment where Bilal Ahmad succumbed to his injuries while Ajaz Ahmad was referred to SKIMS Soura, Srinagar for further treatment. Bandipora police has registered a case in this regard. (PTK)
