Share

SRINAGAR: Students from different colleges Thursday staged a protest against sale of liquor in Kashmir Valley.

Both male and female protesting students assembled at Press Enclave here and raised anti-government slogans.

Carrying placards and banners that seeking blanket ban on the sale and purchase of liquor in Kashmir Valley, the students said “that liquor has been banned in various states including Kerala, Bihar and Gujarat. Why is the Government of Jammu and Kashmir hesitating to ban it here?.” The students also protested inside the Pratap Park while some of the students pasted anti-liquor  pamphlets on the main gate of the park. The protesting students later on dispersed peacefully. (CNS)
