Thousands Join Ali Day Processions in Kargil

KARGIL: Martyrdom anniversary of Ameer-al-Momineen Hazrat Ali (AS) was observed across Kargil Monday with thousands of mourners taking part in processions and majalis. 

Several processions were taken out from Jamia Masjid by Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust and Islamia School Kargil by Anjuman-e- Jamiat Asna Ashriya. 

Paying tribute to Imam Ali the speakers dwelt on the blessed life of Imam. During massive processions mourners also raised slogans against the ‘arrogant powers’ like US, Israel besides terror group Daesh. 

All the processions concluded peacefully in the evening at Hussaini Park Kargil and Islamia School premises.  

Reports said that similar processions were taken out in Sankoo, Tai-Suru, Drass, Wakha and Chickten areas of Kargil district and Chushul in Leh.
