Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly deputy speaker, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi on Monday directed J&K Government to remove the IAS officer allegedly responsible for the suicide attempt of a fellow IAS officer.
The issue was again raised by PDPs Chadoora lawmaker, Javaid Mustafa Mir, who told the house, justice was done in one case. Javaid was apparently referring to transfer orders of six officers on Sunday that included the one who had allegedly made a suicide bid.
Mir revealed in the house that the officer who had visited the IAS officer at its official residence was heading such a department under which we all study.
He also asked government to inform the house whether police have registered FIR in this case or not.
Directing government to act fast, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi told the FinMin who was present in the house, shift the officer immediately.
50% of employees under him are women folk, Gurezi said. Transfer the IAS officer and allot him an insensitive post.
