JKPSC Exposed: 10+2 Lecturer Exam Copy-pasted from a Guide

Share

SRINAGAR: The JKPSC yet again managed to stupefy the students appearing in the exam held for the post of 10+2 English Lecturers on the 5th of June across various centres in J&K.

After the BOPEE mess, the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service commission (JKPSC) has successfullly mocked hundreds and thousands across the state. The question paper was a 90% copy of questions from a master guide by the name Popular Master Guide UGC (NET,SET) English Literature R Gupta Series by HS Bhatia.

PSC had given a detailed syllabus in its notifications on its website. But on the day of the exam, the candidates were shocked to see hardly any question relevant to the syllabus. Instead multiple choice questions (MCQs) were copied from R Gupta’s English literature book directly. The questions were literally copied and pasted from pages 3 to 10 of the book. Instead of setting the paper through noted professors and educationists which is the norm, the authorities duplicated the questions. The examination questions are set independent of any particular book so that all candidates have a fair chance of answering the questions. But PSC seemed to have shamelessly copy-pasted the entire paper. Many aspirants have alleged that a few exam-takers may have already known about the questions being setup from the above mentioned guide and thus will unfairly surpass anyone else. The screening test has 60% weight age and rest of the points are divided equally for personal interview and extra qualifications / publications.
