SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Hussaini Sports Club has decided to organise sports events after the end of Ramadan, a statement from the club said.
According to the statement, a meeting attended by all its office bearers was held in this regard. It was decided that various sports events will be held after Eid which will give aspiring sportspersons chance to show their mettle in different disciplines.
A road race against social evils will be held next month which will get started from Duck Park and go through foreshore road before it finished at Nishat Garden.
A sports calendar will be formulated to have fixtures of various sports events scheduled.
President of the club, Tariq Rashid Ghani assured the participants that the club will make sure that sportsperson get facilities to show their skills.
Ghani said that Kashmir was in need of a proper sports infrastructure to make sure talent is wasted for the want of facilities.
