Srinagar:All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Chairman, Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, who has been under house arrest for the past two days, Saturday condemned the re-arrest of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik besides insulting behavior and atrocities of police toward him.
Stressing that the PDP and BJP coalition government in the state had been frustrated by the united voice of resistance leadership of Kashmir against its anti-Kashmir policies, the Mirwaiz said the government was now indulging in inhuman and undemocratic behaviour.
Terming raids conducted on Maliks residence, ransacking of his belongings, harassment of his family members and atrocities on the people of Maisuma besides imposing strict curfew in the area as inhuman and immoral, the APHC Chairman said this proved the frustration and desperation of the ruling class.
Stating that the house arrests and detentions of the resistance leaders, curbs on their movement and ban on their activities would not be able to break their resolve, the Mirwaiz said the state government was itself using excessive force and violence against the resistance leadership and freedom-loving people of Kashmir and creating an environment where peace becomes surreal.
Meanwhile, condemning the house arrest and detentions of the conglomerates Chairman, Mirwaiz Dr. Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq, Mukthar Ahmad Waza, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam and Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, an APHC spokesman termed the aggressive polices of the state government toward the resistance leadership as undemocratic and immoral.
The spokesman also condemned the raids and ransacking of the residence of Engineer Hilal Ahmad War and injuries to his relatives by police. (PTK)
