GoAir to Start Evening Flights to and from Srinagar

Srinagar:- A Mumbai based carrier GoAir is starting an evening service in Srinagar-Delhi sector from June 15, 2016.

The flight G8 229 of the airlines will take off from Delhi at 4:50 pm and arrive in Srinagar at 6:10 pm while flight G8 228 will take off from Srinagar at 6:40 pm and land in Delhi at 8:05 pm.

This will be GoAir’s 6th daily non-stop service between Srinagar and Delhi.

Notably, the Airports Authority of India and the Indian Air Force have given their nod to expansion of Srinagar International Airport to upgrade its facilities and runway area to facilitate operation of additional flights and night landings.

The Srinagar Airport is established on 16700 sq mt area.

The Airport is under direct operational control of the IAF which controls its air traffic and landing strip and also the facilities of fire-fighting and crash activities, apart from the airspace.
