A mere mass of cells, I was floating in an unknown cavity, desperate for a shelter. Your womb found me and kept me safe in its bosom. The hug was gentle. The comfort and care I received was unmatchable. I spent my days and nights in this valley of love. Mother, how can I ever repay you for that? The moment you brought me into this strange and somewhat scary world, your shadow always made me feel safe. Your hand always guided me on the right track. Through thick and thin, you stood by my side and taught me to accept and overcome all the challenges with a brave heart. You equipped me with the knowledge of world. You taught me how a girl is supposed to retain her identity while embracing her role as a daughter, sister or mother with perfection. During my naughty but natural stage, I used to consider your theories and logic as outdated and backward. But today I realize that if I ever was destined for motherhood, my logic wouldnt be too different from yours. I would tell my daughter the same things you told me. I would propagate the same thoughts that you did, for you are my ideal role model, my dear mother.
Today on this mothers day, I would like to thank you for giving me life. For staying up all those nights to look after me. For your unmatchable love and care. For all the sacrifices you have made for me. For everything! Thank you Mother! Today I would like to tell the world why heaven lies beneath your feet and why you hold the highest regard, both in this world and the hereafter.
Heaven lies beneath the feet of a mother. It isnt because mothers perpetuate generations by giving birth to children but because they lead us on the path to Paradise. They show the world what being selfless actually means. They teach the world how to display tenderness and strength even in troubled times. A world without mothers would be inhumane and insensitive. Mothers bring kindness into this ruthless world. They are the strongest antidote to the spread of selfish individualism. A mother is an epitome of patience as she bears the greatest pain during parturition. She keeps the family fort standing with her sea of love and protects it from the strongest of winds.
Sadly in todays greedy world, many children abandon their mothers for materialistic gains. But one should always remember that a royal bed is nothing compared to a mother slap. For a mothers lap is the only place where an exhausted soul finds solace. So, this mothers day take a moment to appreciate your mother for all the sacrifices she has made for you. Thank her for everything she has done and shower her with love.
