‘Debt ridden’ man consumes poison inside J&K Bank

Srinagar: In a first of its nature, a man reportedly overburdened with huge debt, Saturday, attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance inside the Naidyar Branch of Jammu and Kashmir Bank in Rainawari area.
According to a police official, the man identified as Bilal Ahmad Pinj of Tujgari Mohalla Nowhatta, who owes a huge amount to JK Bank, was trying to negotiate with the bank officials at Naidyar Branch from past several days.
“However today he consumed some poisonous substance inside the Bank in front of officials after which he fell unconscious. He was immediately rushed to hospital where his condition is still critical,” the official added.
