Synonym of hard work and talent-Imran Haroon

Golden city of Srinagar famous for many things like beauty, crafts, flowers, lakes etc has generated many sports stars in past and we hope will develop many more in future too. The example of current most talented sports star is the glamorous cricketer IMRAN HAROON.

A name which you may have heard many times in past and will be continuously hearing in future. Imran Haroon born on 25th December 1988 is the current key player of J&K Ranji team. He is a right handed opening batsman who is currently one of the best batsmen available in State. Loaded with talent and ability Imran is a two dimensional player who can play both defensively and aggressively according to situation.

The multi talented right hander started playing cricket at school level and there after represented J&K at almost all age-groups. His performance gained flies and soon he received a club contract. Imran came into limelight when he played a match winning knock of 92 in a semi final match against famous City Club at the age of 17 in Sher-I-Kashmir Stadium. After this knock he gained popularity and he soon decided to make his future in cricket.

The biggest achievement of his life was when he played a blazing knock of 177 in an Under-25 match against Haryana. This was one of best knocks ever played by any J&K batsman at that level. After this knock Imran got a Ranji call up in 2014-15 season and made a dream debut by scoring a ton in his first Ranji match against Bengal at Eden Gardens. His hard work paid and he got an IPL camp call up from Kings XI Punjab team, though he is yet to feature in IPL but may soon be seen in IPL/Indian colors.

Imran can also roll his arm when needed and is also a handy fielder. Loaded with all-round skills Imran can achieve many heights in future. Stars like him can be role models for youth of J&K. We are in desperate need of starts like him to improve our state position in sports. My good wishes are with him.
