SRINAGAR: Foundation stone of Rs 15 Crore Baitul Hilal reconstruction project was laid at Jawahar Nagar in the presence of a cross section of people on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion Justice (Retd) Bashir Ahmad Kirmani expressed satisfaction over initiating the reconstruction project for inmates of Baitul Hilal. He exhorted upon the people to inculcate selflessness and sincerity of purpose to work for the welfare and rehabilitation of destitute.
Noted satirist, Zareef Ahmad Zareef called upon the people to fulfill social responsibility by extending support to Baitul Hilal reconstruction project.
Imam and Khateeb of Al-Farooq Masjid Molvi Abdul Gani Shah described Baitul Hilal as the best among all homes. He appealed people to come forward to support this noble project.
Besides media persons, the representatives and staff members from Oasis Public High School and Salih Sublime School Srinagar also attended the function.
Earlier, Baitul Hilal Children recited verses from Holy Quran and recited eulogies. In the end a Baitul Hilal student Mohammad Yaseen presented a supplication.
